Title: Chapter 3: What Are Little Boys Made Of? 13 Jan 2010 3:12 am

Little Sev sounds so cute. I have to admit I've never read a "reverse" story as they usually don't appeal to me, but being from you, I had to give it a chance. I like it so far, but I'm concerned of how well Harry will potentially be able to look after Sev. He was an abused child himself and most likely doesn't know anything about watching a child. I know that I, as a single child with no cousins close to my age, am absolutely clueless when it comes to kids, so I'd think Harry would be similar.

I'm glad to hear it's going to a darker story. I love darker stuff, if you haven't figured that out. lol. Oh, and I have one other little note of caution. Since the basic storyline is similar to "Tug," be careful in your scene ideas so that this story doesn't become similar to that one.

Overall, I'm intrigued to see where you're going to take this and how you'll handle it. Sev's background is so sad and hopefully this will give him a chance to become a less jaded adult.

PS: I really need to replay to your e-mail, but I admit I can be horrible when it's just replying. If you have a chapter ready you can send it whenever.

    Author's Response:

Harry's going to be a bit awkward, yeah. I'm the youngest and I only really have small cousins, but I'm so terrible with small children! :S They make me so nervous, so much of what Harry tries to do will actually be based a bit on what I'd try to do. Small kids just sorta freak me out a bit. But yeah, he's going to try it for the headmaster.

And yep, I know I just got done with "Tug" but this isn't going to be like that. If all goes well the motives and characters are going to be a bit darker than some of my other stories. And since Severus is older than Harry was in "Tug" he's going to have more of a personality which is already a bit morbid for a six-year-old, because that's kinda how I think Severus would have been as a kid.

And I just like an angsty background for Sev. I actually have a fic planned for Sev's childhood that I can't post on this site, but I've outlined it a bit. Maybe some day I'll write it too. But I wanted a tragic (way tragic) history because it will help you understand why little Sev says some things later on.

And that's okay about the email. I actually need to finish up on that chappie, but with two history classes and now the dreaded math course, I got a bit busy. I should have it maybe Thursday or so. I'll title the email better this time too! ^_^ Oh! Good luck on your first day of classes tomorrow!

Aw, poor Severus. What a sweet, sad little boy.

Harry is not going to be given total care of him, is he? He's a kid himself. Just enough so that they can bond, right?

Can't wait to see more of young Sev.

Nice start Ivy. I'm anxious for another update on WOWL,

    Author's Response:

Yes, Severus is going to be a sweetie. And no, Harry's not going to be given total care, he's going to be serving as sort of a babysitter for now. But thanks, glad you liked it!

I'm working on the next chappie of WOWL, but I've had several classes that like to keep me busy. But I'll update as soon as I can. Thanks again!

Aww! Cutie snape!! Please update soon. I love the idea of the pocket full of posies for protection. :D

Author's Response: Ha! You're like the first one to connect that line with like the rhyme! I was so pleased with that, but no one commented on it, so ten points to you! Thanks for the review too! :)

I loved the second chapter. Poor Harry! One minute he's wishing Severus dead and still hating him something fierce then in the next grieving because Severus saved his life and finding things out about the Potions Master that he didn't know before. I believe I know what happened to Severus and Archer, but I will keep it to myself for now. Please update soon so I can see if I'm right or not.

And to answer your question: yes, I love winter and snow but it's been to cold to really enjoy it. I live near Rockford, IL so we are in the same boat.

    Author's Response:

Ah, okay, I think I know where Rockford is. Would you like to take somemore snow? Please? *looks hopeful*

But no, yeah, Harry's a bit disturbed with everything at the moment. Who wouldn't be? And I'm sure you know what happened, but thanks for keeping it to yourself for the moment. You'll see what happened really soon. Thanks so much for the review! :)

Poor Harry. He's so clearly freaked out about the whole situation. I hope the potions do their work while he sleeps so in the morning he can think with a clearer head. *Hugs Harry*

I knew they were going to find Sev. Though I have to admit you threw me off with Archer. I was like so he's just unconscious and Ivy mislabeled her story? lol. I can't wait to see what happens now. Lovely chapter.

Oh and *sends Ivy a warm breeze* We're supposed to get up in the 50s tomorrow and the 60s by the end of the week. Blah. Too warm to melt snow. =( Although, Mardi Gras and its like three weeks of parades are coming up, so the warmer weather will be good for those. Also, have a good first day of class. Mine start tomorrow. Blah. lol. Though, I am excited about my mythology class.

    Author's Response:

OOOO!! You have a mythology class? That sounds so cool!! *jealous* AND you have warm weather? *green eyed moster comes out* You know, you can always just come up here and take all my snow. I wouldn't mind. Heck, I'll help you shovel it all up! But I suppose good weather's important for the big Mardi Gras.

*Teehee* I realize now that I've been throwing EVERYONE off with things, which is kinda funny because I didn't know I was doing it until I got reviews. But yeah, no mislabeling here. ^_^ And Harry will have an interesting morning, let me tell you...Thanks so much for the review, Ella! And I'll try to actually pay attention in history and theology! XD

Good chapter! I feel like anything is possible now! Is that Snape under the cape somehow? He does know an impressive amount of magic, so I wouldn't be too surprised. Very curious! I'm glad you're making me think!

I also really enjoyed Harry's panic and emotional state during this chapter. It was portrayed quite realistically. Nice work!

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

Glad you liked Harry in this. I was going for the shell shock affect, him torn between hating Snape, but also not wanting anything really bad to happen to the man. We all wanna kill a teacher at times, right? So that's the side I was going for in the first chapter, but in this, he realize just what would happen if Snape had really died.

And Yay thinking! It's not illegal, so I'm glad you're using your brain. ^_^ And you'll see what's happening next chapter. Promise. Thanks for the review, P.G.!

Yikes, I'm more confused now? The fabric had eyes? Or someone was UNDER the fabric? Or Snape is a baby or something now?

Acck...Hurry up and update soon please!!

    Author's Response:

Sorry for the confusion, but it should make sense next chapter. Promise! I just like surprises I guess. But thanks for the review to help me get warm! :D

:0) I like!! Good and creepy, but also very emotive at parts. Poor Harry. I loved how you did his reaction, and Madame Pomfrey's. :0)

Author's Response: Yay! ^_^ So glad you liked it. I wanted it to be kinda creepy and eerie at the beginning. Makes for an interesting start. And I'm glad you liked both of the reactions. Thanks so much for the review! :D
