Hmmm, Snape-as-stallion. Awesome, seriously. I can see all kinds of angsty goodness on the way as Harry confides in his new friend and Severus sees the real Harry. And oh, the potential for h/c! I'll put in an early vote for hurt!Severus in stallion form, rescued/nursed by Harry. :)

Author's Response: Oh yes there is a lot of potential for an angsty scene between them. Lots and lots. You can see another few chapters now that I've posted.

Brilliant idea! I can see this fic shaping up to be as good as the Hawk series. The Black Stallion image is a perfect one of severus as a stallion. keep up the good work and post soon.

Author's Response: Thanks and I was wondering who would make that connection. I loved the Black Stallion books as a child and also love the TV series they had on. The horse who played the Black was magnificent and served as the inspiration for Moon Fire. Arabian crosses are always so beautiful and spirited.

That last scene was such a beautiful image - I can picture it so easily! I like what you've done with this and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it. Good luck!

Author's Response: Thanks and I've update again and there will be more interaction between Harry and Moon Fire/Sev

I wonder if Harry will do as many children do and tell the 'horse' that is before him about his troubles? Harry, of course, has no idea that it is Severus Snape before him and might feel that a horse is a safe sounding board. I'm not sure if Severus should tell Harry anything about who he is at this point in time. Hopefully, Severus will discover the truth about Harry...that the boy really isn't at all like James Potter.

    Great start!

Author's Response: He may, if he thinks the horse will truat him. Right now Harry is both vulnerable and trying to hide. No, Severus won't say a word about his other form.  But as Moon Fire he will discover much about Harry that nobody ever knew. And several misconceptions on both sides will be shattered.

This sounds great!!!!! please please please please please update again soon. I'm really curious as to where this will go. And i love how you made Sev a black stalion, I'v also thought of him as one...that and a panther. lol. but people tend to use that one a little too much.
    Any way great work.
    Thanks. Nyx:)

    Author's Response:

    You're welcome!

I'm glad you're enjoying this and I've updated three more times. I also think a black stallion suits Severus--as does a goshawk and a snow leopard. A panther also, but like you said, it's been overused (sigh).
