Reviews For The Boy Who..?
Author's Response: Thank you.
I have a question though. Is this story going to be mainly about Harry's relationship with Snape. I really hope so. What I mean is--I just want to know if Snape is going to end up adopting Draco or anything like that. I mean, I love this story, and I will keep on reading no matter what, but I always end up getting disappointed when a story starts off with Harry and Snape bonding and then all of sudden, Snape adopts Draco and Harry has to share Snape's attention. Like I said I love this story and I love the burgeoning relationship between Harry and Snape, and I want to see more of that. I can't wait for the next chapter. Author's Response: This story is mainly about Harry's relationship with Snape. All other threads and character interactions are secondary. As someone said somewhere (can't remember who), Draco has his own parents - whatever issues they might have. He just isn't used to having to share anything he perceives as *his*, and having to share his godfather with his rival is rather a bit of a nightmare for him. Particularly since he is a smart enough kid to realize that 'Potter' has a greater claim on him than he does. Anyhow, the next update may be awhile in coming because I have a fic for the fest that I really need to get cranking on, but I'll get you an update as soon as I can. Thanks for the R&R! ~D
Draco really is nearly overcome with envy, isn't he? I hope that he won't do anything that he will regret, like attack Harry. I hope that Severus and Harry will be able to reach a deeper level of understanding soon. I really think that this event has brought them somewhat closer, even though it also caused a great deal of upset for Harry. I hope that he will forgive Severus his trespass and understand that he only wanted to help him. Severus needs the truth. Author's Response: Draco doesn't like to share much, does he? Some part of Harry does understand, but he's not really accustomed to an adult general caring about and for him. They're both sorta feeling their way along, but they are getting there. Next update will probably be slow in coming - I've got a fic I need to finish for the Fic Fest before the end of next month. More shall be coming, though. Thanks for the R&R. ~D
I'm glad that Severus pushed Harry to talk. I'm not sure that using Legilmancy was the right way to get the truth, though, even if he was expecting Harry to lie, but I do understand why he chose to do so. At least this much is true, Dumbledore won't be able to stop Severus from claiming Harry, who is biologically his child, and keeping him away from the Dursleys. Author's Response: Yeah, I believe that despite having overall good intentions, Dumbledore is very much a puppetmaster - thus, the 'Dumbledore goggles' as my best friend has dubbed them. I also believe that realistic characters are fallible. Therefore, though, Severus using Legilimancy probably wasn't the best way to go about things, I think it's something he would do. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback. More to come.
I've got tears tugging at my eyes. I'm so glad that Harry opened up to Snape, and I hope that they can finally make progress in their relationship. Great chappie as usual! I'm very anxious for the next chapter. Author's Response: I love making people cry... erm, I mean, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the R&R. More to come! ^^ |
