Reviews For Mistress of Slytherin
Great chapter! Author's Response: We shall see in the next chapter hopefully, and I totally agree with you. They make the perfect couple together. Thanks for the review. :)
Author's Response: Most definitely, and we might see that soon. :) After all, Syra is coming, and Aurora is kind of a rebellious daughter so anything can happen. ;) Thanks for the review.
To be honest...Salazar's explanation confused more than informed in regards to Aurora's mother's history. She is over a thousand years old, right? So when did she attend Hogwart and why hasn't Aurora noticed anything odd? (I am assuming her mother doesn't age and thus, would look very young to have a child in her thirties.) You said that they used spells to keep her from aging, so what exactly did the potions do? I will assume that the spell on the Quill Room is to prevent the bloodline being traced. Author's Response: Thanks for telling me that it's still confusing. I can see how it is. I'll rewrite the chapter so it's less confusing for everyone, but for now I'll just answer it here. Salazar hadn't known that Syrene was pregnant with Syra at the time. However, he happened to be in the Quill Room at the time of Syra's birth and noticed the quill write down "Syra Slytherin." It was entirely a coincidence he was there. He immediately casted a spell on it to make her name appear centuries later. How the bloodline can't be traced (unless someone really digs) is because according to the record in the Quill Room, Syra was born in the late 1800s, which in truth is just when she woke up because Syra stopped giving her the potion. So when Syra woke up, Syrene allowed her to age naturally and raised her as if nothing had happened. Syra did actually give birth to Aurora in 1961, so Aurora is actually 30 right now. Aurora did notice things about her mother while growing up, but she has kind of a rocky relationship with her mother because of this (mostly because she felt like her mother was always keeping secrets from her) so she hasn't seen Syra for a long time. I know we haven't seen Syra yet so that wouldn't have been clear, but Syra's coming up really soon, which should make things more clear. You are right with your assumption. Syra doesn't age. However, magic does wonders. :) I realize that this really doesn't sound believable, but magic just seems like it can do anything. :) Thanks for the review and asking me. :)
So now I'm wondering if my snake theory might be right. I can't wait to find out! Author's Response: Thanks for the review. :) Sadly, it'll be awhile until I can update again. At least, that's my thinking tonight, but who knows what tomorrow brings? :)
Great chapter! Author's Response: Rereading I could definitely see it being the Sorting Hat. I should be done with the chapter soon. Thanks for the review. :)
Author's Response: Thanks. :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you like this story. I'll try to update sometime tomorrow (4/1). Thanks for the review. :)
I'm glad that Harry will be ok and hope that he and Severus will be able to get to the bottom of his 'visions' and hopefully stop them completely. Great chapter! Author's Response: I'm glad you caught that. I'll start to explain soon, and I'm not sure if we really want the vision to stop completely. ;) Thanks for the review.
Author's Response: I'm just starting to explain everything now. It'll be a few chapter (I think) before we figure everything out. Thanks for the review. :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you're liking it. Thanks. :) |
