I’m here again. I’d forgotten how much I like your caring Vernon.
As a former abused child, Severus would take the Slytherin Head of House and its responsibilities very seriously. I liked the background on Slytherin and his house.

This, for some reason, makes me want to rub my hands together in malicious glee. Is that bad?

awesome chapter! loved it!
Author's Response: Thanks :)
I like this take on things! Better than canon, actually--though to be fair, something written for pre-teens and teens really can't be all that deep, or most kids just won't like it, they'll find it "too boring". I've seen how often common beliefs are not true in real life, though, and I really like stories that come at things from different angles.
I especially like your take on Slytherin! Of course, that could be 'cause I tend to be more Slytherin than any other House...and Snape's my favorite character. >=]
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm really glad that this backstory has received such a positive response; what you say about common beliefs is very true- most people seldom look at what they're told critically and, when you do the research, the conclusions which one can draw are often very different. Thanks for the review and I hope you continue to enjoy the story
wow!! this sounds awesome. i just know i'm going to enjoy reading this! your explanation of salazar is awesome!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really hope you enjoy the story.
Nice interlude to tell an important part of the backstory.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^. I've always thought that Slytherin's reputation did not sit easily with the facts; why would Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have trusted a vicious, cruel, dark-arts obsessed killer, much less been friends with him?
