Reviews For When the Boat Comes In
Author's Response: Thanks; I love writing Draco and Lucius: I feel that Lucius is the daddy panther- all grace, power and presence- and Draco is his little cub, who tries to copy Lucius but ends up looking cute but slightly ridiculous because he doesn't have the maturity or subtlety lol! Of course, Lucius is trying to teach his son and, as he is mature and subtle, he does it soooo smoothly ^^. I'm glad you're enjoying the story
Author's Response: Thanks :) Draco's one of my favourite characters to write; I see him as one of those boys who idolises his father and wants to be just like him. Unfortunately, Lucius' demeanor is somewhat difficult for an eleven year old to emulate lol!
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Lucius always did overindulge Draco in the canon and, in DH, it's clear that Draco is Lucius' world, so I though that casting him as an affectionate father would be a realistic approach
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I really enjoyed writing those letters; I've always found it entertaining when writers construct letters between characters in third person narratives, it allows insights which, otherwise, would be tricky to portray.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review ^^ Lucius is primarily a politician and Harry Potter is a fantastic alliance: it's definately worth Lucius and Draco making a few concessions to win Harry over. However, instead of manipulating Harry, the Malfoys may find themselves dancing to his tune lol!
Great job! Author's Response: Thanks ^^ letters between parents and children often show the characters in a whole new light and are such fantastic opportunities for giving the reader insights into the characters' real motivations, thoughts and feelings.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed reading them ^^ |
