Beautiful one-shot. Loved the imagery of life teeming below the surface as well as the repetition at the end of what was written at the beginning. Wonderful work.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I had great fun writing both those parts.

    Thanks for reviewing!

I really enjoyed this; I love the contrast between gritty plot and 'storybook' opening. Some nice twists as well.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I was actually inspired by the contrast of the gritty plot and storybook style of writing in Fairytale by Angles Broken Shadow (which you should read if you haven't already).

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reviewing!

I have often wondered why no one ever realized just how terrible a burden they placed upon a pair of young, thin shoulders. Harry deserved far better than he got.

    Author's Response:

I often wondered that too. The entire wizarding world hid behind a child, thinking, "Why bother? The Boy-Who-Lived will save us all!" They could have banded together and actually done something! Harry definately drew the short straw.

Thanks for taking the time to review!
