Reviews For On the Other Side
CCAP Author's Response: Glad you like it! I have to admit I don't know what CCAP means, but I suppose it's supposed to tell me to hurry up with the next chapter? Thanks for reviewing!
frenchy ps: I liked your french expression "laissez faire" actually I'm french and I didn't know you english guys had that type of expression too...funny
I like how the Slytherins - mainly Malfoy - are all in character. Also like how you've brought Millicent out a bit. No one ever seems to do anything with her. Nott too. Book never said much about them. I also love how Harry is having a really hard time adjusting. So, if he's not in divination, I guess that means he doesn't hear the prophecy about Wormtail, huh? Ooo... and when Black comes, can't wait for the cause that will come with that! You think Harry will ever make friends with Malfoy or Zabini? Oh! He's going to be so confused when Hermione is in Arthimancy too. :) Can't wait for the next update! --Alis Syn Author's Response: Thanks for your review, I'm glad you like the story. You brought up some interesting points. About the prophecy about Wormtail - I still have to think about how I'll handle this. As to Millicent: I like her, and I am going to give some more background information on her, too. Also about Nott, who I also find interesting to write.
I love the story so far :) Keep going, good work!
I really like how Harry is slowly changing his opinions, albeit slowly, of the other Slytherins, and I very much admire the way you propose how Snape acts as a head of house. He might be a grouchy git, but he takes far better care of his students than I've seen Minerva take of the Gryffindors. I mean, it never sat well with me that she praised Harry and rewarded him for breaking the rules in that first flying class by getting him on the Gryffindor team as a First Year when First Years aren't even supposed to bring a broom of their own to school. She KNEW that he was raised without any contact with the magical world. You'd think that with all the concern she showed when Dumbldore dumped Harry on the Dursleys' doorstep, she'd have shown more care of Harry when he finally did get into the Wizarding World. Er... sorry about the soapbox. In summary, I really love this story, and no matter how long the wait between the chapters. They are always worth it! Well done! Author's Response: Thanks for your review! No need to apologize "about the soapbox", I really enjoy it if readers share their thoughts with me! |
