I think of Aurora as being the opposite of Lily, so since Lily had all of Severus's attention until fifth year, it'd definitely make Aurora a little green-eyed. ;) And you're absolutely right to point out about Harry's reaction to Aurora's dissing of his mother. It did strike a nerve with him, though. He just really wants that family, and having a stepmother (or whatever Aurora would be) who harbors a bit of jealousy but who doesn't act on her jealousy is better than what he had with the Dursleys. Aurora also tends to steer away from talking about Lily (especially around Harry) so she doesn't sound too...witchy.
