    No matter how many times I've watched that scene, I honestly never wondered exactly what Snape was thinking about when he met Harry on the stairs. I seemed to feel waves of resentment toward Harry, but since Dumbledore's self-engineered death had nothing specifically to do with Harry (much more with Draco), any resentment from Snape (as if he were blaming Harry somehow) was as misplaced as Harry's blame toward Snape following Sirius' death. I had never stopped to analyze it. (Actually, I was too enthralled with the sleeves of Snape's robes at that moment!!!) So, thanks for focusing on that moment and breathing your imagination into it!

    Author's Response:

    Thank you so much for your review.

    I felt some resentment towards Harry as well when I watched it, but then I wondered why. Why was Severus resenting Harry, and then I watched the scene again (by again, I mean about twenty times, I love listening to Alan Rickman), and I thought that perhaps Severus was resenting what Dumbledore had asked him to do in the past, and was asking him to do now.

     Thank you for your very kind words,

    Leilia

    Ah, that was so sweet and sad...poor Severus. Dumbledore did ask too much of him, in my opinion. It was a burden that no one should have to bear. Beautiful writing.

    Author's Response:

    Aww, thank you.

    I completely agree with you that Dumbledore did ask far too much of poor Severus and he really did not think of what Severus would go through carrying around the memory and guilt of killing his confidant and (I believe) friend.

    Thank you again,

    Leilia

    Very sweet and sad: a thoughtful and poignant insight into Severus' mind.

    Author's Response:

    Thank you.

    I came up with this while I was watching the HBP movie and when Severus paused on the stairs I thought, there is something going through his mind there. I hope that I captured it and his emotions through the story. ;-}

    I also wanted to tell you that I love your stories, please keep writting. ;-}

    Thanks again,
