Reviews For United Under One Banner
Author's Response: That's a very good question. I'd say it was because Fudge was there, and Fudge still has more authority than Dumbledore, unfortunately. Aurora will definitely fight back, and we will definitely see that in the next chapter. Thanks for the review. :)
However i would really like to know where Fudge was when rufus scrimgeour kidnaps Sinistra....... They need to give rufus scrimgeour the potion to tell the truth (Veris..... sorry cannot pronounce the word or remember the spelling). Update soon. Author's Response: Fudge was in the room, standing off to the side. He definitely saw Scrimgeour kidnap her. He was probably standing near Dumbledore and Minerva. He was closer to Scrimgeour in the beginning of the chapter, but when Sinistra walked up to Scrimgeour when he told her to tell the truth, Snape walked a few steps closer to them, but was still a few steps back. I'm not so sure that we will ever see Scrimgeour take Veritaserum. I mean, if Snape gets a hold of him, Scrimgeour's pretty much a goner. :) Thanks for the review. And I shall try to update as soon as possible.
I do have to wonder about Rufus' claim that Severus forced himself upon Aurora. How does he propose to prove it or is this just an excuse to get Severus in his hands so that he can have an 'unfortunate' accident? What really gets me is this...does he really expect Aurora to back up his claims? Besides, Aurora and Severus weren't even together after the Ball. Everyone that was there knows that they left separately. Also Severus went directly back to his rooms and didn't leave them until summoned by Albus via house elf, which I'm sure could easily be proved by speaking to the portraits and house elves. Even Remus could state that, at least for awhile, Aurora was with him and that Severus was nowhere in sight. Author's Response: I'm sorry that you had to explain it. It makes a lot more sense now to me. Again, I'm sorry. In response to the first part, I bet if Scrimgeour even attempts to spin it his way that there will be certain students who will definitely take offense to that and raise hell against him. :) Definitely not the majority of Hogwarts would blame Severus. You have to remember, though, that Scrimgeour left right before she shared her dance with Dumbledore and Snape. So Scrimgeour wasn't even there to see what was going on at the dance. He just later heard from his Aurors about her dance and kiss with Severus. I think Scrimgeour operates under the "I'm the head of the Auror agency so I don't need to prove it." After all, in a way he acts as if he has Fudge under his thumb. It's mostly just an excuse to be a spiteful little monster. So you said in your prior review that Scrimgeour was an idiot, he's worse than that. He's probably about troll range with his mental capacities. In any case, I'm sure we'll be getting a really good excuse from Scrimgeour, though. :) And I'm certain that this isn't the last we see Severus and Scrimgeour together. Thanks for clarifying, and I'm very sorry that I didn't understand it the first time.
Author's Response: Okay, perhaps it's me being dumb here, but I'm confused by the pronoun generalization. Are you asking how Rufus is going to explain what Rufus did to Aurora? Or what Rufus claimed Severus did to Aurora? Either way, Scrimgeour has some serious explaining to do in the next chapter. :) And with your last question...he referring to Severus or Scrimgeour? If it's in reference to Severus, I'm sure he's going to find a way to thank them somehow. If it's in response to Scrimgeour, he's not exactly saved yet. Perhaps he's saved from Severus...temporarily, but he still has Albus Dumbledore and several others to deal with. :D Thanks for the review.
Time to get rid of the skunk........Rufus Scrimgeor..... any teacher witnesses besides McGonagal & Hagrid..... you did mentions Fudge with Rufus when he came to Hogwarts....... Update soon......I find this story good. Author's Response: I'm glad you're liking this story. When he charges Snape with being a Death Eater, all of the teachers are there in the Great Hall, except Dumbledore and Sinistra who are still in Dumbledore's office. McGonagall and Hagrid are just the only ones who stick up for Snape because the other ones are either too shocked to respond or are unsure of Snape's true loyalties. We'll see more of Fudge and Scrimgeour in the next chapter. I can't just end it there. After all, Scrimgeour isn't the head of the Auror Agency for nothing. ;) Thanks for the review.
Would be fun to read if the student handle him in their way/help Snape handle him. Author's Response: Oh, I will most definitely write what happens to him. And I have trouble spelling his name too. Luckily, my Word automatically corrects it for me. :) I'm sure the Weasley Twins will have a cameo...and Harry might also. ;) Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. :) I agree with you about how Snape would react, and it shouldn't be too long before we see his reaction to all this. Thanks again.
Author's Response: Well, I couldn't have everything end so soon with this story. Thanks for the review. :)
I'm not sure that telling Severus and Aurora what they have been up to is a good idea. There is a strong possiblity that blood might be shed if they do. I wonder what Harry will decide to do about this mess? Author's Response: Okay, I haven't explained this part in the story yet, but I'm going to explain it shortly. Have you ever had a moment when you're so emotional that you just think that the one person you want to be there holding you to make everything all better because you truly love him shows up because you're having a really bad day? Well, that was kind of my reasoning behind Aurora's thoughts. She thought it was Severus holding her, but it was really Remus. She does truly and wholeheartedly love Severus, though. I kind of was going for a surprise twist there since we readers would think it was Severus, only to find in the next chapter it was Remus. She's friends with Remus. Nothing more, though. I always thought of Remus as being an extremely kind individual so I thought he needed this scene. We will definitely see a scene between her and Rufus dealing with their engagement, though. Just so you know, I always took Rufus to be a bad guy, so he's not going to be the semi-nice guy from the books that we feel bad for in the end. In fact, every time I read any of his lines in DH (particularly his remarks to Harry about Dumbledore's will), I always felt like JKR made him a bit like Snape with how vicious he was to Harry. And Scrimgeour definitely deserves something, which we will see soon enough with that scene between them. ;) You're probably right. Their telling would probably shed some blood because those two Slytherins definitely aren’t going to be happy campers. We’ll just have to see what Harry decides. :) Thanks for the review.
Author's Response: There's a reason why Aurora's not going after him, which I will give soon. Excellent question about Scrimgeour. You should get that answered soon. Thanks for the review. :) |
