Reviews For Eclipse of the Soul, the Sevitus version
I love Tuscan and Mediterrnean architecture and you do such a fantastic job describing the villa and its surroundings. The setting is just beautiful and I can really see it in my mind. It's almost like being there. Severus and Harry have already come a long way, and I think this holiday together has brought them even closer. It's lovely to see these two learning to love one another and to see joy coming into their lives. Harry has been fortunate to have wonderful friends, but even they are not like a family of his own, and Severus has been alone for a very long time. They really need each other. Giano and Phia are so kind and dignified, and I'm glad that Severus has set them free and they stay of their accord. Loved the exchange of gifts and I can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you Kristeh for your thoughtful review. I'm glad you like the descriptions of the villa. I've used this place in another HP story of mine and so seeing the two of them there just seems so ... right. As I wrote this version (of when Harry first sees the villa) I wondered if I could convey a clear picture to the readers. I'll have to go back and see how detailed I made it as these days I am working on flow and brevity. I too am happy and relieved that H and S's relationship has reached this point. Now they understand each other and Severus finally accepts that he cares about Harry. And then there's Giano and Phia. Somehow, I just couldn't see Severus keeping servents. I see G and P as having known S for so long, that their relationship is in a sort of gray area- somewhere between Master, servant, nanny, uncle .... Does that make any sense? Hopefully the next chapter won't be too long in coming. As soon as I finish my other story (I only have 2 or 3 chapters remaining), I'll be able to devote all my time to Eclipse. Hugs, SHaria
Author's Response: Aw, thanks Fmh. I'm glad you liked it. Happy Christmas to you too. Hugs, SHaria
Thanks for the update V. Author's Response: I'm pleased you enjoyed this Christmas chapter Mervoparkite, and their time in Italy. So do I! Yes, he did tolerate the fluff, and it's been a long journey for Sev to get to this point. I once described this progression (to one of my betas) as the long and winding tightrope. Moving S along this path of emotional awakening and the developing relationship between H and S and trying to accomplish it in a realistic timeline. It's a relief to make it to what feels like a jump off point. Stay tuned for coming attractions! Have a great Christmas! Hugs, SHaria
Author's Response: Hi there Maxthedragon! I'm happy you are loving the story. I went back and checked on 'prego' and apparently it can mean all kinds of things, so I just now modified it to read: Ti prego (I beg you). Thanks for keeping me on my toes! Happy Christmas to you too. Hugs, SHaria
