Harry’s phrases from the paraphasia are very interesting. I like how supportive Hermione and Ron were, and how Snape is pushing Harry to overcome his teenage tendency towards acedia (great word!) in a very believable way.

Dumbledore’s apology was very nicely done, as was your characterization of a young Harry with older, albeit slightly impaired, mental faculties — a delicate balance that you pulled off splendidly!

That was a typical Ron reaction, though I’m glad that he came around relatively quickly. The evidence of Harry’s comfort and belonging in Snape’s and his home was hard to refute.

I love when Snape has Harry held firmly between his knees, with Harry looking down at him and thus unable to effectively mask his feelings. It’s brilliant. The tree imagery was so striking that it will always stay with me!
