I'm glad that Severus was able to get Lily off of the lake. It's a really good thing that Gabe's instincts were so good. It's really a pity that Dumbledore didn't recognize the true extent of the wrong that the Marauders did. Didn't he understand that the 'prank' nearly got Lily and Severus killed?
But I'm furious with the Marauders! Why on earth would they do something like that? Idiots! But I'm glad Gabe and Sev were able to help. Lily could have gotten in REAL trouble. But then I am confused as to why Lily ever got with James, but I'll be patient and wait for you to explain. It's obvious she loves Severus, but still...NO! I must wait! for that!! I liked Severus handling Harry. He was being a brat and I think Harry deserved it. But I can't wait until everything gets explained later! Great update!! :D Author's Response: Yeah they really are stupid! Some people think that everything they do is funny and don't even think about bad things happening. I promise you'll see what happens with those three later. Yes he was, and Severus knew it too. I have just updated again!
I'm sure all those questions will be answered soon. I like how you show Lily getting pranked by the Marauders and not just Severus . . .it makes sense because they would be trying to make her not be friends with him. Plus they're jerks. If I were Lily I would throw their beds out the window some night and watch them try and deal with the squid! Hooray for Hagrid! And Minerva too! I love that Lily cried over Gabe, it shows how much he was loved. Now I'M crying!
I never liked them in canon and I really don't like them here. I loved how Snape threatened his son in the beginning to get him to take his medicine. I've done that with my kids too! LOL! Off to read the next one! And Moon Fire!
Loved Hagrid and McGonagall here! Go Lily! Take him down! I loved how Severus told his son about how Gabe came to live so long, it was really well thought out, and they really love each other, despite the sarcasm.
Love Minerva in this! The rapport between Severus and his son is really good, both have the same sarcastic bent, but it works for them and you can see how much they love each other. Post again soon!
I wonder how much of the potion Gabe ingested? I'm just glad that it wasn't a harmful one and actually helped by extending Gabe's life by at least 10 years.
Oh, the Marauders make me angry! Why would anyone lock an animal away in a hot barn like that without any water? They could have given poor Gabe water if all they had been trying to do was scare Severus. Idiots! Oh, I felt so bad for Gabe! I know of someone that did do something like that and their cat did die. Some people! But I really liked seen Hagrid and Slughorn in this! They were both great. OH! And McGonagall! I loved that she knew what was really going on. And I liked that Sev was suspicious of Remus being the mastermind. lol That's pretty funny. As for the conversations between Sev and his son...loved them! They are just so snide to each other, but in a playful way! And I could totally see Severus raising a son like that. Very very good! Liked it lots! Great update Snapegirl! I can't wait to read more of Severus's childhood and snark between him and his son! ;P Author's Response: Oh yeah, how'd I miss that one? Yeah, i knew people who did that too, only they left a dog in a parked car and it suffocated. Really stupid! Yes, they were. And I like making Minerva really wise to the Marauders tricks. Yes, Severus is pretty clever to think that. I'm glad you liked how Sev and his son got on, they really do love each other. You'll see more of them in my newest chapter, just posted it!

Author's Response: You can see some of the trouble happening in the newest chapter I just posted. It was, an active dog that has never been put in a kennel finds it miserable. And back then, people didn't do crate training. |
