Reviews For But For A Dog
Author's Response: Aww! I'm so sorry for your loss. They really do. My beagle Rocky was very depressed because Gabe was gone, he just moped and wouldn't play and picked at his food, it was pitiful. And sometimes he would just sit there at the sliding door to the yard and look out at it, waiting for his "brother" to come back inside, but of course he never did.
But I really am disliking the Marauders all over again. I didn't care for them (that's putting it mildly) in the real books, and I can never really like them in fiction either. They're just so...snorty! And Peter, geez!! Hit the dog cage, yeah that's smart!! Dumb a**!!! But I hope Severus and Lily don't get into too much trouble being friends. I mean, Lucius is usually a strong personality to deal with and then there's the Marauders...But I LOVED that McGonagall liked Gabe! XD She would! Another fantastic chappie!! :D Author's Response: I know the one you're talking about! LOL! You're right and I never did either. I felt they were allowed to get away with murder (almost literally) and pass all their nasty doings off as mere pranks, but what they did to Severus wasn't a "prank" it was cruel and stupid. What the Weasley twins did at school were pranks, harmless and amusing practical jokes that they put on everyone, not just Slytherins or whatever, and they didn't hurt anyone or mock anyone. The Marauders kind of humor was evil and degrading and they were bullies. Yeah Pettigrew's a real little rat here, I always hated him the most. Lucius won't be in the story much, I think he was 5th year when Snape was 1st, so by the time the Marauders really get going, he'll have finished school. I always figured MCGonagall would love a collie, considering she's Scottish and they originated the breed there.
Thanks for reading and I've posted the next one!
Thank you for writting this; I'm thinking of it as very uncomfortable therapy and am hoping to be well with my dog-less existance by the end of it. Author's Response: Guess! Yeah, it'a therapy for me too! I've just updated again, by the way!
Author's Response: No, that was deliberate. I try and do the memory past thing in regular print and the present day journal entry in italics. |
