Nice fic! I like the idea of Snape as Fawkes, that's fun. The friendship you built up between James and Severus was cool, and I liked how saving James' life got Severus the first real recognition he'd ever had (and therefore some confidence). The idea that Petunia could warm up to Harry when he wasn't living with her was cool too. This is a nice twist on the original story.

Great job. How interesting that Sev is Ravenclaw, and that James and Severus were good friends.
Nice twist on the story. I'm glad that Sirius and Severus became friends, and united against old Moldy Voldy.
Oh my goodness! This was a very interesting story and I enjoyed it a lot! I like that Severus and James were friend and that changed everything. Always though Snape could be the voice of reason. And I liked that Severus was Harry's dad, but Harry knew everything. And I really liked how everyone were friends, like Draco was thrown in there, which made me happy! And I'm glad Severus didn't have to be bitter losing Lily to James. But it was sad that Emmaline was killed. But Snape's form as Fawkes was AMAZING!! I loved it! And still having Sirius and Severus not like each other...it was just an amazing story! I loved the ending though too! Tom's gonna get his arse kicked! XD Great work!!!!

Enjoyed the story very much. Different perspective on the gang. Liked how Snape and James became friends.
Nice story :) I really like how Severus and James got to be friends, because you really don't see that in a lot of stories. It was also interesting that Severus didn't love Lily. My only issue would have to be how Sirius was portrayed in such a bad light when he was younger. But really good job :D
What a nice twist having Severus be Fawkes is! Great little fic!
