If the story carries on in this vein, mixing heart-rendering moments with ridiculously amusing ones, you'll have me hysterical - either from crying, or laughing - by the time the story's over. I don't know how you do it, but I adore you and your story now.
I. Am. Not. Going. To. Cry.
*dissolves into a puddle of snot and tears*
Such a touching chapter. You've brought about the change in Snape so masterfully that I find myself wondering how could he ever felt differently towards Harry.
*starts bawling again*
I'd say I hate you for doing this terrible thing to Harry, except that I don't. I'm absolutely loving this story!
Finally something light-hearted! The humour weaved into the story - intentionally, or not - does make it a little easier to read, knowing that, as much as I hate to say, or even think, it, there might not me a happy ending after all.
It's really great that Snape treats Harry normally. A bit differently, yeah, but his concern doesn't become overwhelming and I'm really enjoying his interaction with Harry.
Yet another wonderfully done chapter.
Good job on the action - makes the story a bit more dynamic, in addition to the recent developments between Snape and Harry. I was a little surprised when Snape sort of off-handedly confessed to knowing about the Dursleys, but I guess it was the sort of thing he would notice.
Nicely done chapter.
Aw, that's so... Harry, you know, making sure that Snape remembers to eat? I do wonder, though, if his selflessness is more of a product of his upbringing or something inherent, like a thing Lily would've done. Either way, it was very touching.
I don't even find Snape's comments amusing any more. In fact, I feel like bawling my eyes out. First, Harry's dying and then you have to go and pile abusive Dursleys and nightmares on top of that. Why oh why? You'd better have a happy ending prepared, or I'll be miserable for the rest of the day. :(
That said, I'm really enjoying Snape's act of doing-this-because-Dumbledore-told-me-to. Heh. Keep telling yourself that, Snape. :)
Talk about the "denial phase," huh? I feel for Hermione and Ron. I think it was really insightful (and oddly enough, very IC, by the way) of Ron to wonder if they really wanted to know what was going on with Harry. Ignorance is a bliss and all that, yeah?
Very good chapter.
Snape's trademark snarkiness is something of a relief. The telepathic, or whatever, exchange between Snape and Dumbledore at the beginning was slightly amusing.
Good chapter.
Ah, the plot thickens... Silly Harry not drinking his potion. I'm getting a bit worried about it (and eyeing those story warnings up there, hoping this isn't a death!fic).
Author's Response: Our Harry is rather stubborn at times, isn't he? As for your concerns regarding the warnings... let's just say that none of those who've finished reading this fic have sent a lynch mob after me. ;) Not yet, anyway. ^^
