Reviews For The White Laird of the Mountains
Good chapter. Author's Response: Guilty as charged ;) I thought when I read the challenge that Harry, while rone to extremes of emotion, was not the type who would summon such a corridor because he's not one to hide; Harry always, always fights. Severus, on the other hand, is unstable- his bursts of agression seem rather akin to a tortured and traumatised animal who wants to scare potential tormentors away- and he's heartbroken and guilt-ridden over Lily. Therefore, I can imagine it's only force of will and his dignity that keeps Severus from hiding under the bed and, if something happened to cause an, albiet temporary, breakdown, his first instinct might be to hide, which is where the corridor comes in.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^
Very good chapter. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I don't think Harry and Severus could ever settle into a routene devoid of headbutting lol! (If only because Severus is sarcastic and Harry is a teenage boy, one of the more thin-skinned of beings)
But on the other hand, one can hardly blame Harry for being upset and angry. He has always grieved for his lost parents and everything that he has suffered, from being raised by the Dursleys to being targeted by Voldemort, stems from that prophecy. I can't help but think that Harry has a right to be upset, and that Dumbledore should also recognize that. But of course, I am really hoping that Harry and Severus can make amends and that Severus won't be lost in that corridor forever. Great job! Author's Response: Thanks; it's a bit of a rollercoaster chapter, isn't it. I think the reason that Dumbledore was so stern was that, although he knew Harry had a right to be angry, he did not want Harry to take that anger out on Severus because striking someone's achilles heel tends to have disasterous results. (Of course, at this point, Dumbledore did not know that Harry had already verbally attacked Severus) I'm glad I managed to get over both sides of the story, however; I didn't want either character to be percieved as being in the wrong for the reasons you've mentioned
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm really glad you're enjoying it.
Poor Snape! What happens now? Does Harry go after Snape? Great chappie. Author's Response: I know, I'm cruel. However, I did have to shock Snape into the corridor and this was the only sure-fire way of breaking those solid defences; Lily's eyes, accusing him of her death. Thanks for the review. |
