You lost me there a bit, when Harry and Myrridin were discussing the 'plan' but it sort of made sense by the end. Can't wait to see how everything turns out.
Oh and, on an almost relevant note, I was delighted that Harry took Ginny rather than Cho, or Hermione, to the Ball! So nice. :D
Author's Response: I wanted to make Myrridin a bit of a riddler (like the oldest version of character Merlin) so his speech is sometimes enigmatic. I tried to compensate by Harry 'translating' but if it was a bit vague, sorry.
I thought Harry should really take Ginny to the ball; while I don't follow the 'ship' for any particular pair of characters, Ginny is definately the girl most likely to understand if Harry has to flee.
