I really love this story. It's a even meter shall we say, how things are progressing between Harry and Sev. Something tells me I already know who that guardian will be.
Is Sev going to have to see Harry through anything else that would need constant care? I heart those parts :)
I missed the alerts for the past few chapters and so had a good time catching up today. :)
I love the idea of Severus being the only staff member about besides Mr. Filch, and by having only Hufflepuffs there along with Harry, you've built a situation where the changes that happen to Severus' perspective can happen believably.
And I like how you have Harry being studious when he isn't distracted. :) He's not another Hermione Granger, but he is a smart kid, and it's nice to see that explored here.

Thanks for the updates! I really like this story - there is something slightly different about it. Involving Filch will be really interesting. Having Snape chip in at the dinner table to redirect the conversation was a really good idea. I think it fitted in well with the character profile you're creating for him and the head boy. :)
Great update. I love where Sev and Harry's relationship is going. Right now it is mentoring. I assume Sev will be his new guardian, he just doesn't realize it yet. Can you image Sev approving anyone else now? Our poor boys. I await your next update.

I'm enjoying this story a lot.
It's 'Dursleys' not 'Dursley's' and you actually got it right in at least one spot. That's one of the fanfic errors that's very annoying: Dursley's is a possessive, people!
I'm glad that Harry has decided to finally willingly tell someone about the Dursleys. I hope that with Severus' support and protection that it will go well. There are difficult times ahead for Harry and he is going to need all the help he can get, so I'm really glad that he has Severus now.
Nice job. First I wasn't sure if the attunement thing isn't a bit much, but I'm glad to see that you haven't made it such a big deal. (I think it's unnecessary because it's perfectly reasonable to me that performance in a subject at least in part depends on your teacher and his behaviour, particularly when you're just starting a subject, since later stuff will be based on what you learned (or didn't learn) earlier)
Still, nice chapter.
