ahh that was cute and so sad. My grandma...we're not sure if she has Alzheimers or what but she forgets easily and I'm often my mom to her.

    Author's Response:

Thank you. I watched an interesting documentary on Alzheimer's, which was the inspiration for this story; it is, indeed, a tragic disease and I thought it'd be an interesting twist on the challenge idea to write Severus as suffering from the condition. I've always thought that it's especially important for writers to try to tackle subjects like this because a. it raises awareness and b. it can be cathartic for people whose lives have been touched by similar conditions: I knew someone who has MS and, while he was mentally alert, the symptoms of his condition meant that the formerly articulate, erudite man found conversation difficult.

wow! this was hart breaking and heart warming all at the same time.(does that make sence? LOL) well done.

Author's Response: Thanks; don't worry, that makes absolute sence lol! I was aiming to mix the grit of the story with a fair amount of fluff; I didn't want to trivilalise Severus' condition but, at the same time, I didn't want it to be a total angst fest so I'm glad that you think I managed to strike the right balance.

Very nice story. It, indeed, needed to be told.

Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Given the amount of curses poor Severus has suffered over the years, it's be a miracle if he didn't develop some type of dementia in his later years. (Which, of course, is exceptionally tragic as he's an exceptionally clever character)
