I think that Sev should adopt Harry. They are father and son in every way except the paperwork so they might as well make it official. It's bound to give Severus a case of the nerves though. I was wondering when Harry would encounter a Devourer while he traveled. Good thing that Ghost and Shriek are keeping an eye on him.
Yes, I think that little bit of connection means so much. It is something psychological and technically not more legally binding than what they have, but it is the expression of commitment.

Harry's lessons with Ghost were interesting. I especially enjoyed the smudging ceremony. Hopefully the smudging will help Severus, Lena and Albus after their encounters with the revenant.

Great chapter. I like Shriek. I think, along with Skull, they will put up all kinds of fuss.
Ghost is an interesting character. Having a magical character from such a different culture will be a nice contrast. Shriek and Skull together sound like the bird version of the Weasley twins. I'm looking forward to Harry's lessons with Ghost.
