Brilliant chapter; I'm really curious about the accident- who was trying to kill off Neville? Peter? Draco's accident was a great plot point; it doubles his incentive to be loyal to Harry and throws a spanner in the works for Lucius- I doubt Narcissa would fall in with any scheme against Harry willingly and we've already seen (in canon) how brave she can be. Oh, and I loved the heads of house meeting; your depiction of Severus and his cunning is really well thought out.
I really liked how you've portrayed Severus and Dumbledore's 'teaching' and 'warlock' personas; we never see them in such close conjunction in the books, which is a pity. The showdown with Quirrel was very well written and entertaining and I suspect Severus' saving of Madam Bones will have far-reaching consequences. The conversation between Draco and Severus was also very interesting; I like how you're depicting Draco's confusion over what he's been taught and what he feels.
I love Coral, she's quite a character; loving, fierce and loyal a bit like a combination of Molly and Ginny ^^. The potions class was very entertaining and well written; I liked how Severus reacted to Smith and his final question to Harry was very clever, it made Harry look diligent but not like a 'teacher's pet' or showoff. I wonder what's going to happen with Scabbers (aka Pettigrew); has Quirrel recognised him or is it a red herring. the Leglimency idea was a very good one, seeing as you're not using horcruxes in this story.
Ah! I love Hufflepuff!Harry stories; it suits his true nature much better than Gryffindor ^^ I really enjoyed Harry's meeting with Neville and Draco (you've portrayed both boys beautifully) and the details about the legacy spell were both poignant and believable. I liked the interactions between the Hufflepuffs and Harry and I think Pomona will be an excellent head of house to him, given her understanding of parselmagic ^^
I cried over Flitwick's death scene; I didn't realise how much I love the little guy! Your portrayal of the battle of Hogwarts was so poignant; the valour and power of the teachers against the horror of what was happening was breathtakingly emotive. I love how you're portraying Severus, particularly the intellectual aspect of his character, and Harry is very sweet but not at all saccarine. I really enjoyed all the interaction between the Heads of House and the Headmaster, particularly Pomona and Filius (though you portrayed everyone beautifully). Great work!
Another great chapter. I loved the twist about Harry, initially, choosing to sleep in the cupboard- it's an original but highly plausable idea. The conversation with Severus was really cute but well written and believable as well; I like how you've maintained Snape's core traits but given him maturity. Dudley's horror over Harry's past was a nice touch and I really liked the scene between Severus and Albus; although your portrayal of Dumbledore is sympathetic, you've captured him really well.
Wow! Great premise ^^ I love the introduction (very believable and vivid) and your portrayal of Snape thoroughout- he definately seems older and wiser but still definately Snape. Harry is very in character and I love the interaction between the pair, with Snape being the wise, knowledgable advisor and Harry being the keen, cute little information-sponge :) Oh, and while I'm raving I might as well mention I love how you've interwoven the past and present; you've got the balance just right- I understand the why and wherefore and it's all been conveyed in a very natural manner. And curse you! I was going to use something similar to parselmagic in the sequel to WtBCI! However, I love your portrayal of it and it's uses! Great start, brilliantly written.

Absolutely awesome! You are really taking this story to places! I loved how Harry clamped down on the curse and how Neville and Dobby supported him and how Dumbledore is acting. Everyone else is just as fantastic. Bravo!
