Oh, man! I wanted to rush on to the next chapter instead of answering a pop quiz! Okaaaay... A wild guess, since the thing that has been plaguing Harry has been the voice he's heard in Hogwarts (e.g. the Basilisk)-- I'll guess that Harry says (after seeing the stark gray walls of the Wise One's cave), "The voice in my head must have eaten me up." Right? Wrong? ON to the next chapter! Oh, yes, I ADORED the Wise One, especially her empathy for both Harry and Snape. (Cliffhangers drive me NUTS!!!)
Cool snake! I like her very much! Please write more soon!

Wow! The Wise One is very imaginative. I like her a lot.
Maybe Harry said that he admired Severus even though Snape is harsh to him? That would certainly shock Severus.

Love the snake! I think Harry might tell Severus about the voice he keeps hearing and the fact that the Dursleys wouldn't even give him a winter coat and gloves.

Author's Response: Thanks! I wanted to do something different for this fic and the Wise One just seemed to fit here. I've always liked the tale of the wise snake who helps people instead of the evil snake who only harms. Snakes are actually good for the environment, they eat all sorts of harmful insects and mice and rats and other vermin. Hope you like the next part I've posted, where Severus learns more of Harry's past and the Wise One advises him.

ARRRGGG! Cliff hanger! Great chapter, some neat ideas and good insight into all of the characters. The Wise One is really neat, a good idea that was introduced well!

Hmm, I think Harry might say something about wondering how he died if he thinks he's in hell. Something to do with Vernon maybe?

Lovely story idea! I absolutely loved the wise serpent. She is awesome!
Harry would reveal something about him deserving the pain or something about the basilisk I guess..
Looking forward to the next chapter!
