just a bit of proofreading: '"Because, like my honorable descendant, Salazar,...' it should be ancestor not descendant. ancestor is for older generations and descendant is for younger ones.

Wow! I loved this chapter. Icefyre is awesome. I want a basilisk now!
Ooh what a great background for the basilisk. I really like him now. I hope he gives Voldy hell!
I also loved how Dumbledore reacted to the snakes and Severus too.

How SPLENDID! You've done an amazing job with "humanizing" the Basilisk! And what a fascinating past you've given him-- playing with children, no less! This chapter is absolutely enthralling! Way to go! And Sev's all better! Yay!!!

Awwww, yay!! I am so glad that Severus is still alive, and now the basilisk is out for Voldemort's blood!! Whoo! Great turn of events! I liked the history lesson about how Slytherin's children used to play with the basilisk and how both Severus and Harry have Slytherin's blood. Thanks for the update!
