This is a really, really good fic (one of my favorites in fact) but there are a few discrepancies that I've noticed. How was Ginny kidnapped in Diagon Ally, without anyone knowing? A missing kid of a ministry worker, particularly for such a small society with few children would be very difficult to keep quiet. And how did Crouch Jr meet up with Voldie? He didn't break the imperious curse until the Quidich world cup in book four. How did Belatrix escape Azkaban, when in the books she only managed that after Voldie was resurrected with his help? I'm confused. Mind you, none of those have much to do with the actual plot, but they leave holes none the less.

So many good aspects within this chapter-- LOVED the articles about the Basilisk and the Wise One! Dobby was fantastic in his role! A new House for Harry... (A year or so ago, a few of us were discussing blended Houses in the Shoutbox, & I said I was probably a Ravenpuff! I still like that name, and I still think it sounds like a breakfast cereal!!!) I wonder what Hermione's resorting would make her?! *sigh*--Ron is still being Ron. :-( And Draco is still Slytherin, but he seems more "with it" than Ron. At least Harry and Snape have each other, in spite of their earlier difficulties-- I believe that Lily and even James would be pleased in the end. Thanks for an amazing read!!! :-D

Awwww... :-) I love a warm, fuzzy chapter ending when it follows upheaval and uncertainty! Really excellent explanation by Snape of Dark Magic's subversive and addicting allure. Not only does Harry understand Snape's situation better, he'll also comprehend why to avoid Dark objects/magic himself in the future. Now, the huge question of Harry's friendship with Ron looms ever nearer... Terrific chapter!

AWESOME CHAPTER all the way through! I had the feeling that Harry would talk to The Wise One and/or Icefyre. And I'm SOOOO glad that Snape gave Dumbledore a piece of his mind! And that Harry got to overhear that confrontation. But, oh! What a shocker! A CURSE on the Mirror of Erised! And it almost GOT Harry... Wonderful that Snape rescued him in time, tho' I HAD to laugh when he demanded if he needed to Stick Harry's shoes to his feet! And I hope they can finally talk things out in the next chapter. Seriously, I really LOVED this chapter! :-D

*sighs* Ron, Ron, Ron... *shakes head sadly* If anyone should know the definition of "git", it would have to be Ron, because he goes out of his way to act like one on a regular basis. I hope Harry can work through the issue regarding Snape's past; those two need each other. But neither of them deserves Ron's blind bias.
