Love the snake! I think Harry might tell Severus about the voice he keeps hearing and the fact that the Dursleys wouldn't even give him a winter coat and gloves.

Author's Response: Thanks! I wanted to do something different for this fic and the Wise One just seemed to fit here. I've always liked the tale of the wise snake who helps people instead of the evil snake who only harms. Snakes are actually good for the environment, they eat all sorts of harmful insects and mice and rats and other vermin. Hope you like the next part I've posted, where Severus learns more of Harry's past and the Wise One advises him.

This story is so adorable- I love how Snape is a parselmouth too and I like your character- the Wise One. Please update soon. Your stories helped this thesising senior survive thesis-mode.

Great chapter, yes I can't wait to read about Harry and Sev's talk, but to be honest it's the talk Sev has with Albus and then the Dursleys where it will be fireworks. I hope Harry trusts Sev and tells all!
Author's Response: Oh, yes THAT talk is going to just explode . . .but that's not coming up just yet. First harry needs to trust Sev and tell him about the voice too.

Author's Response: Yes, Snape sure needs all the help he can get. And I wanted Harry to do something involuntary regarding the Dursleys and this just seemed like a good way to reveal what went on at Privet Drive.
yay! This is so freaking cute! I've never read a sotyr like this before! It's so original and really cool! very good job! I love how Snape tried to act all unconcerned but he really was...going out inthe blizzard like that :) this chap was really good with Harry hallucinating and all very good job!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I always try and do something original for my Christmas fics. Last year when I wrote Away in a Manger, I put Harry in a manger as a baby and had Snape find him. This time it's a snowstorm and a snake. Yeah, Snape always tries to act like he doesn't give a damn but he really does and it shows in ahundred small ways and not so small ones eventually.
