Reviews For Christmas Present
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm just about to start the third story, though it might have to wait for new year as I'm also aiming to update Inverted and HP and the Order of the Pegasus before Xmas!
Happpy Christmas! Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Although my ficlets are usually quite gritty, I wanted to write a warming Christmas story :)
I also loved how Harry reciprocated with the gifts for the professors, and how he and Severus seem to have come to truce, hopefully a permanent one. Having Albus reconcile with Gellert Grindelwald was also very touching to me, but only because Gellert has recognized how wrong he was and is remorseful. Hopefully they can both find some peace now. Wonderful job! Author's Response: Thanks ^^. The way I envisioned it, baking the biscuits would be a bittersweet ritual; it'd evoke memories of simple, innocent happiness, love and loneliness. Severus does it partially in rememberance of Lily and partially to remind himself that, although the years have damaged and changed him, there is something of the boy he used to be still within him. Harry's reciprocation showed him a facet of Lily in her son and, as Severus loved her dearly, I think one could say that something has definately changed within their dynamic. I'm glad you like the reconciliation between AD and GG; the appeal of their story is rather dependant upon the audience's mindset with regards to gay literature but, if you can get past that hurdle, their love is probably the most beautiful and tragic of the HP pairings- Lily and Severus included. |
