I love Snape’s inner voice - it’s prescient and compassionate, tempering his outward behavior. Totally brilliant.

Someone should not be that calm if they were they arguing with a voice in their head.
If someone hears a voice in there head like Snape has been for the last two chapters. They need to seek professional help and anti-psychotic medication.
Very interesting chapter; it seems either Harry had finally driven poor Severus over the edge or there's some sort of spell at work here. I'm really enjoying the interaction between the characters; hopefully Harry will push Snape just far enough to reveal his true colours.
I'm so glad that Snape is finally realising that he has treated Harry so badly in the past, and that he needs to let go of his pre-conceived notions about the boy, and give him a chance.
You have a wonderful writing style. You really write your characters with so much depth, that I can feel their pain and suffering.
Well done.
Awesome chapter! Yikes, Severus is really looking at his faults now. No choice. I hope that he can do an adequate job explaining himself! love it. Great job!

Author's Response: I hope to update soon, but after that it may be awhile. My young son broke his leg and had surgery on both legs yesterday, so my time is limited at the moment...

Excellent chapter! I love how Snape forced himself to calm down before talking with Harry. And Harry's honest belief that Snape would want some sort of 'payment'. Poor Boy.

Thank you a great chapter You have observed their reactions really well.
Ooo! Nice 2 additional chapters. Finally, Severus is figuring things out. Of course, it's obvious to us. Just a bit of constructive criticism. If you write this from only Severus', then we, the readers, have to figure things out right along with him. It adds a great deal more suspense and interest.
