It upset me a little that harry had to apologize for snape treatment of him, like it's perfectly acceptable that snape tormented him because of something his father did. But that ending was so screwed up. How dare snape?! I hope harry tells him what did

It almost seems as if Harry, thinks that the Order only want him safe because he's the-boy-who-lived and its his job to off Voldemort! Harry's also never once been told that his life is of value or that his safety matters - I mean from an adult who he knows cares for Harry and not "Harry Potter, boy-who-lived"! Its a little wonder that Harry's angry, that things about his life or his wants are ignored - he does seem to want an adult in his life, that he can depend upon & trust. Perhaps also because of how his hogwarts letter was addressed, Harry might believe that the staff knew but did nothing. Why didn't any of the staff, notice that Harry was always thinner after the summer holidays, and that he's the smallest in his year & that he never went home for christmas or received mail from home....so I think he has good reason to angry at the staff as none of them noticed!!
Great chapter; I loved how Severus calmly led Harry through the questions about his relatives (though I'm sure the Dursleys are in for a nasty shock) and Severus' growning exasperation and Harry's sullen refusal to except his own shortcomings were very in character.

I am really enjoying this story! I think it is a relatively realistic take on the whole guardian thing- and I thank you for making it so. I eagerly await an update.

OH OUCH. That last sentence has gotta hurt. That's just unfair to Harry. Haha. But since when did Snape and fair go together? Harry's gonna blow, isn't he? I mean, he's gotta have some kinda violent reaction (or maybe the complete opposite) after what happened last year!! Oh man, I gotta have the next chapter!!! Awesome as always, and update soon!
