That was some argument Molly and the others were having - I'd like to have been a fly on the wall. At least Snape was being..pleasant.

Poor Harry in detention... :( Well, at least maybe he will learn Occlumency after all!

I thought it was fascinating that Snape would think to pull away from the Pensieve in the nick of time, even tho' he was under the influence at the time. All of the years spying must have created a reflex response when he's in a possibly-dangerous situation. And how typical that he'd blame Harry for the mess that Snape himself had created! As for poor Harry, out of the frying pan (detention) and into the fire (Occlumency lessons). It would be intriguing to see what might happen if he were to break into Snape's mind, what with Snape now knowing that he could be Harry's father!

I was all eager to write a review saying what an exciting chapter this was until you slapped me in the face. Seriously, that's EXACTLY what it felt like. Now, I don't know what to think-- you claim you're just posting your writing for people to enjoy, and I DID enjoy it up until now. Suddenly, you threaten to stop posting unless you get better reviews. Bottom line, I feel as if I've totally WASTED MY TIME investing in reading/enjoying your story up to this point. I think you need to define for yourself WHY you are truly writing-- to entertain, or to reap boundless praise. CHECK YOUR READERSHIP COUNT: Over 6000 readings (about 750/chap avg) in just 6 weeks. If people DIDN'T enjoy, they'd have given up long before now. Think about it. (BTW, I'm not flaming your story, just your attitude. I can't believe I'm even writing this, but I want you to know why I would NOT finish reading your story on FFnet.)

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your honest opinion about the note I posted at the end of the chapter.  I would like to explain where I'm coming from.  I've been writing this story for over 3 years now (it seems like it's my life) and am really looking forward to finishing it so I can begin another story (unfortunately I'm not the type that can write more than 1 at a time).  So, right now, all my time is spent trying to write new chapters.  When I'm posting the story here, I'm editing each chapter again and am also taking in to account all the reviews I've gotten on ffnet and am incorporating them into the story if I feel they are needed.   This is taking time away from me actually working on new chapters.  I felt that if right now my story wasn't of interest I'd abandon it here and finish it over on ffnet.  Then when the time came when the story was finally finished, in another year or so with the way I write LOL, I would begin to re-edit it and post it here for these readers to enjoy.  But if the story had interest here, I would continue to re-edit it and just take longer writing new chapters.

I also went along with how I feel about other's stories.  I hate it when someone posts a story I really want to read and then just stops uploading new chapters until months or even years later because they're working on some other story. I just don't want to be one of those authors I hate.   I would rather pull my story from here then be one of those authors.

Again, thank you for taking the time to let me know how you feel.  I appreciate it.

What a sad chapter-- I can really FEEL Harry's sense of isolation. Poor guy. And you'd think that Hermione, at the very least, would have a more intuitive sense of what he's going through and how it makes him feel... Harry desperately NEEDS people, but none of them seems able to be there for him "fully", so he ends up pushing them away. Been there myself-- KNOW how bad it feels to be cut off from everyone, and that the only thing that makes it bearable is the fact that I'M the one keeping others at a distance. You've captured the emotion of Harry's situation beautifully. *wipes tear*

Wow, is Severus ever in denial!

Poor Harry. Snape is relentless. Hopefully, Snape will mellow out soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Good chappie as usual Firefly.

You are NOT Wasting your time! I am truely enjoying being re-introduced to this story (I have read it over on FF.NET) and I thank you for the chance. Please don't give up on it!
