Missyann Author's Response: Thank you, I'm really glad that you enjoyed it ^^
Author's Response: Thanks ^^: although the story is very sad, I think the tragedy does rather suit the 'fairytale' theme. I'm glad you liked my idea for Severus' animagus form.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I think, if Severus had the chance, he'd probably attempt to make amends over his behaviour first then, when the time felt right, he might confide in Harry. (Or, possibly, take the cowards way out and just leave his pensieve lying around lol!)
Very beautifully written and well done. Great job. :D Author's Response: Thanks. I know, I felt really mean denying Harry and Severus their 'happy ever after' but this felt rather more realistic and, of course, it also tied in with the canon, thereby avoiding loose ends. I'm glad you liked it.
Author's Response: Thank you; I've seen plenty of stories where Harry makes friends with Snape in animagus form but never one where Harry doesn't discover that Snape is (insert animal's name) until it's too late. I thought that it might be interesting to examine this but, of course, that makes for a sad story. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Author's Response: Thank you: it always means a lot to writers when their reader's review ^^ Yes, Severus would have been devestated to leave Harry in his misery, let alone actively causing the child distress; I think their tragedy is a necessary foil for the fluffier aspects of the story and, of course, it leaves almost all the canon events unaltered. As for Albus, I think that the 'greater good', like his anti-slytherin bias, is a powerful force behind his decision-making; by remaining a DE, Severus would be in a position to save lives, protect students and, ultimately, bring down Voldemort and, if Severus and Harry's happiness had to be sacrificed, so be it. We see Dumbledore making similar decisions in the canon and I feel that it would be in character for him to clinically decide that dozens of lives were worth more than two people's happiness :( I'm really glad that you enjoyed this fic and thank you for your kind compliments; I really enjoyed writing this little story (even though the sad parts made me choke up too) and I'm honoured that you rate it so highly ^^
