Aww. Poor Harry. He's being quite difficult, but I imagine there's a reason behind it we don't really understand yet. But I'm sure Snape will get to the bottom of it.

    Good chapter!

    Author's Response: Thanks! :D

Very sweet; I loved Snape's Xanadu, very 'Wuthering Heights' ^^. Sinistra and Snape's conversation was very entertaining; I almost feel sorry for the poor man- he can terrify kids but is thoroughly browbeaten by a pair of strongminded witches lol! Oh, I also loved the Draco/Harry interaction over Snape's relationship-status; very in character and very funny (might even be a hint of Draco/Hermione there- their EI seems more on the same level lol!)

    Author's Response:

LOL! Don't feel sorry for him, I'm sure he enjoys it. ;D

Dramione all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They really are perfect for each other. :D

Thanks Gana! I'm glad you enjoyed the story and thanks for reviewing!

Loved the conversation between Charity and Snape- I can imagine him letting off steam to a friend like that and someone with a 'counterweight' personality (i.e. who could see the other side of any given arguement) would, in giving him the opportunity to rant away his frustration, certainly have an attraction lol! Loved the Draco/Harry interaction; there's just enough tension to make it believable, while their shared traits (i.e. bravery, disregard for the rules, love of freedom) are obviously the basis for the grudging friendship. Looking forward to more

    Author's Response:

I have to admit...the scene in the last movie made me fall madly in love with the Charity-Snape relationship. Alan Rickman did that scene so well as to take my breath away, so I had to play tribute to it.

I'm glad their growing friendship was believable, it was probably the single hardest element in this story to balance. Well, for me anyway. LOL

    Thanks Gana!

Lovely chapter. I really like your depiction of the three teachers, though it's nothing short of a tragedy that Harry doesn't realise the value of Prof. Kettleburn- people who have studied animal behaviour that intensely and who are willing to share their knowledge are invaluable for any duellist lol! Sinistra's love of poetry is a good 'hook' to explain her relationship with Snape (who must love poetry) and I really liked the extra dimention you gave Madam Pince. Great work!

    Author's Response:

    Thank you!

Proffesor Kettleburn was by far my favorite character to write. And, I agree Harry really should have paid more attenion to him. He could learn alot. :D

    Thanks Gana!

Very interesting chapter; I love how you've portrayed the characters- their personalities seem canon but evolved to fit the situation. I liked your use of imagery and very interested to find out more about Harry's condition.

    Author's Response: Thanks Gana! :D

You had me fooled! I was SURE that Snape would be pelted by at least one snowball before the end of the story! Hee! But seriously, I really enjoyed this all the way through. I think your portrayal of the 12-year-old mindset is pretty accurate! Interesting to see Professor Kettleburn-- now I'm itching to know about all these rumors concerning his various "losses"! Nice job!

    Author's Response:

LOL Shadow!! I seriously considered having Snape hit with a snowball!!

Kettleburn was my favoite to write! He was very entertaining...kinda like a Hagrid-Snape Hybrid. Scary right? LOL

Thanks Shadow! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

love the banter between Draco and Harry.

ANd the way you showed a friendship between Burbage and Snape was wonderful! it was something that was totaly missing from canaon, esp. after the scene in DH, when she mentions their friendship.

    Author's Response:

    Thanks Wid!

I tried to make that scene subtly pay homage to the cannon scene, but may have gone overboard with the 'because we're friends' line. :D
