Reviews For All Good Things
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Yes, Charity was a rather inevitable result of finding that photograph; children of Harry's age can get very broody (in the wanting-to-have-a-sibling way) and, for a single father, that can spell mayhem lol!
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I thought it'd be fun to do a spin-off from the WtBCI series :)
Author's Response: Thanks; I really like inventing family members (though Persephone also appears in 'Inverted') and I'm glad you liked the unchild- I thought it would be a fun twist ^^ I always enjoy writing Reggie and Salazar, who are both funny in their individual ways, and as for Hermione, well she's a grounded, open-minded character and, even in the canon, when she was given no preparation, she reacted very calmly to the revalation Harry was a parselmouth lol! Hope you enjoy WtBCI ^^
Author's Response: Thanks; yes, that's one of the things I really wanted the story to convey, that wistful, 'might have been' feeling. However, Harry's going to try his best to give the little boy in the picture a chance lol!
That is a very interesting concept Morgana. Creating a vision of what your child would look like. Great job. Author's Response: Thanks ^^ The concept is actually one I've used from real life; there are hundreds of baby-picture-generator programs on the web- you simply upload two pictures of possible parents and get a picture of your hypothetical offspring! When I discovered these generators, I could see the potential in the Lily/Severus situation and it seemed a cute idea to have Harry discover the picture ^^ (I'd also used a similar spell on the owl-breeding poppet, which is rather spooky because I didn't know about the online baby generators at that point lol!)
Great job Morgana. Onto the next chappie. Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yeah, Hermione has a hard time in this story, not to mention the latter chapters of WtBCI. However, she has a lot of people behind her and her father's death will serve as an important lesson to the other Slytherins; collateral damage isn't pretty when viewed up close.
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Author's Response: Thanks: I really wanted to capture the embarrassment and discomposure that many people feel when seeing their berieved friends; so many people feel angry or upset with themselves over it but it's natural to feel unsure as to what to say/afraid of saying the wrong thing. Thankfully, Harry had Severus to support him, reassure him and take control of the situation so Harry and Hermione could get over the greeting-stage with minimal upset.
Wonderful, Gana! I can't wait to see Harry's matchmaking skills, when you get around to a sequel. I found the idea of a fake picture fascinating. I can only imagine Harry and Hermione getting ahold of this spell. Hmmm...I wonder what Hermione and Draco's child would look like... Excellent work Gana!! Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yup, it's going to be 'The Parent Trap' all over again lol; Harry wants him a little brother ;) I based this idea on a RL situation; I was enticed into using one of the 'baby picture generators' on the web and was rather taken aback by the result, a very beautiful little boy with violet eyes and biscuit-brown hair. I thought that the wistful longing such a picture of a hypothetical child (whom circumstances made an impossibility) would be a good basis for a story and, of course, the situation could easily fit Severus Snape and Lily Evans; it's not a substantial stretch of the imagination to believe that a spell could and, indeed, would have been created and I even had precident, having used a similar spell in WtBCI! As for Harry and Hermione getting hold of the spell... a hair from Severus' hairbrush, one snagged from Charity's fuzzy jumpers; it's all too easy if you ask me, Severus even told them the name of the book!
I love it Gana! I just want to cuddle Severus every time his mother is mentioned. I love stories that have Eileen being the abusive parent and Tobias the caring one. Excellent chapter! Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Yeah, so do I, more because it makes a change than anything! |
