It's about time Snape found out the boy thought he was threatening him. With any luck, perhaps they'll start to make some headway.
So, funny anecdote. I was over here, reading happily and contentedly, and was most pleasantly surprised to see a Next button at the end of this chapter. I went back to the main page out of curiosity and found that I had mistakenly read the rating (16+) as the number of chapters (51). I'm certainly not about to complain that I've more yet to read. :P
I like the woman. And I like there is someone friendly to Severus.
Another great chapter! I really like the Oculist, Madame Vitrea. She seems brisk but kind, and she seems like she's good at her job. I loved how Severus noted Harry's embarrassment about his old pair and tried to cover for him and how he insisted that Harry get some nice glasses, and not just cheap ones. I can see them making progress, step by step.
Speaking of progress, I'm so glad that Severus realized that Harry was afraid of being hit, that he had misinterpreted Severus' words, and they got that straightened out.
And that last sentence, where Severus acknowledges that he failed Neville, and how it mirrors his treatment of Harry, is so sad. Great writing!
Wow. Fantastic chapter and fantastic story. What drama and emotions. I love reading from Snape's perspective. The oculist was very interesting, and the magic about her, the sign and window and all that was very creative, yet it seemed to fit in the Wizarding world very well. Well done!

You are doing an excellent job with this story. I loved the pathos of the Dementor scene.

Excellently done - love it! Can't wait to see more!
Responsible or nice are one in the same to Harry, and Snape can separate them if he must.If you grow up poor I think you just automatically appreciate everything more, I know I do.
