I am curious about the spell. I wonder if it created some sort of Bond between Ginny and the three casters.

I love the scene with Harry's first magic. Really nice!

I do like late night chats you can get to the hert of the problem and this was a very good chat thank you
This is a very good story and I hope to read more soon! I also wish you well, I’ve had relative who dealt with kidney stones and know it’s an unpleasant experience.
I really like how this plot has originality and that you keep everyone, namely Severus, in character. He's not all hugs and smiles, lol. I of coarse, feel awful for Ginny, Harry and Neville. Abuse and the death of a friend are obviously very hard things to take.

Ah, I wasn't expecting the house-elf twist. Should be interesting when Severus' figures it out!
I love how you show their feelings without spelling it out here:
" 'You were friends?' Potter asked.
Severus clenched the hand that wasn't holding his teacup.
The child dropped his eyes and cringed a little as though he expected to be cuffed. "
I wonder how Harry will come to learn of Severus' true feelings.
