You know, I have tried to commit suicide a few times. The last serious attempt was in September of '09. When I ended up in a psych ward rather than dead, it was a huge shock to my system. I had never honestly considered the possibility of ending up in the hospital instead of dead. I had done what your Snape did, only to both arms.
These words truly resonate for me, "He assumed lots of people would talk about how upset they were, but really, they'd get over it. They all had their families and each other. His family was already dead, after all. He didn't have anyone who'd really miss him." This encapsulates much of how I felt/feel.
This story is powerful and mesmerizing. It is excellent. I want to know what happens next; but, at the same time, I do not want the story to end. You write very well. I am so glad I found this. Thank you for sharing your talent on the internet.

wow chapter snape actually opening up which i think will help Harry heal.
i almost missed this chapter as no new chapter popped up in my inbox ( i rely on fanfiction for this story)
