Reviews For Digging for the Bones
There was a lid over over Severus' plate of food. He assumed Lupin must have conjured it, because nothing like this existed in his kitchen. He slid it off, and eyed the exceptionally large portion.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reveiwing every chapter! THat is very kind of you. Curious: did you mean my quoting UK Statute or Lupin's feelings on the whole thing? The whole story has been covering uncomfortable material and I've been trying to warn people. Things that I don't expect upset people and vice versa, which is why my A/N have been getting very wordy. Future chapters are going to cover more archaic Wizarding laws and customs, and I'm trying to work out how to handle them. Given the social changes that have taken place just in my lifetime, even laws from fifty years ago look downright barbaric to 21st Century eyes. Although it may not seem relevant to the plot, it is. If only to show why Pure Blood Wizards wouldn't necessarily get why Harry is is such a despairing state of mind. Thanks again for reading.
As if you didn't already hear enough of my life story, I haven't read any fanfiction in AGES. I mean, since high school and I'm almost done with college. I found myself a few days ago bored with all my books, missing the days of harry potter where an entire volume could be read in one day and then flipped back to page one for a rabid rereading. That wasn't just me, right? So I thought I'd see if there were any good stories out. And I happened across yours. Problem is now I don't really want to read anything else, lol. ... Anyway, now that I've revealed myself as a newfound raving fangirl of yours . . . The mandatory OMGPLSUPDATESOON! Seriously, though, for whatever little it may matter, I think you have a gift. And seriously, update soon. And sorry for the novel of a review. Author's Response: You are very kind. I'm trying very hard to keep it real, as it were, while staying in universe. I write largely for my teenagers and their friends, so its important to me that these things are not glamorised. I know too many teens who think that with suicidal gestures, one is either perfectly fine, or dead. THat there is no dreadful recovery period. Will be updatig soon. RL has been keeping me away from my keyboard.
The abortion part made sense as in the Wizarding world follow a more traditional, Old English tradition so their laws must have been old too. Update soon! Author's Response: No, not a lawyer, although I have a friend I run the research by who is studying to be one. I'm alsways surprised if people can't tell I'm a mom. I always think I just exude "mom vibes".
Well done with this chapter Author's Response: Thank you
