Can't wait to see what will unfold in the next few chapters. I really liked the description of the spell that Severus, Poppy and Minerva used to help Ginny. I'm curious to see if/when Harry finds out that he is Snape's biologically. Did the potion Lily use make Harry look like James or also introduce James' genetics so Harry would/could pass a blood test as a Potter? Severus' dreams make it seem like James knew about what Lily had done, did he?

    Author's Response:

No one is altogether sure how deep the changes from the potion are, it's very old. Basically, Harry is a Potter because James accepted Harry as his when he was born (this come from British Common Law inheritance law), the Occludus Potion causes the child to resemble the purported father, so no one asks sticky questions.

Since James Potter is dead, Snape can press his blood claim because he's closer in blood than Petunia. If James Potter were still alive, due to the Magically Binding Contract of accepting Harry as his heir, James would have the stronger claim.

It's not so much blood, as a complex line of magical kinship.

    Hey!
I like this story a lot and am happy to see that it's still continued. So many of the stories here seem to have been dead and given up on for years.
I'm looking forward to seeing Snape on his feet again, it's kind of strange to have him in a very weak state. I think that's because he seems so unmovable by everything that happens around him most of the time.
I hope he and Remus will get through to Harry and help him deal with everything...

    Thanks for writing this!

It was a much needed chapter even if there wasn't 'much action.' (Sorry it took me a few days to respond, I ended up just re-reading it for fun. haha) :)

I wonder how tea with Mrs. Cook will go? I also wonder what Severus and Remus were discussing... Was it about Harry or Pettigrew? Hmm.

I loved Harry's inner thoughts concerning Snape's odd behavior. I liked how he's both disbelieving and considering the man's actions.

Aw, this story is so wonderful. I love how protective Snape is towards Harry, and how Snuffles/Sirius is by Harry's side every minute, and how gentle and caring Lupin is towards Harry. I like how you have all three getting along, if only for Harry's sake, even though Snape has no idea who "Snuffles" is! Too cute.
