I thought it was really Lily and the others in his thoughts and dreams and not just his weakness from the spell. Still, it was a shock for poor Severus.
I went back and reread the story. The scenes with James and Neville plus having Lily speaking to him really popped out and added so much. Wow!
If you are ever in Minneapolis, MN, stop at their Electric Museum. They have several theramins there. Very Interesting place.
Now, at the end, was he talking to Bill or Lily. Interesting twist.
