This was a really sweet chapter. The perspective of the story offers an interesting turn from the norm.

Every child wants their parents to be together and happily married - form a dream family. I can understand how conflicted Harry must have felt when he heard that in fact, his were neither, nor did they have a chance to be one .... His imagination can't paint a happy picture for him now. Poor boy.
So Sirius has heard the story as well. Snape's taking him wd truncate his role in the war, though, or at least change it.

Hmm... Far less explosive reaction on Harry's part than I'd anticipated. And Snuffles heard it all... I wonder what that will result in?! Good exposition throughout this chapter-- we get to learn along with Harry, tho' he hasn't quite heard everything yet! Nice job!

Okay, I have to say James is an idiot. An utter idoit...so stupid its almost cute. Almost.
As for Lily, she a...well...a...Lily. :D
I feel so bad for Snape, he can't help but defend Lily even after all these years and everything she did to him. And that last paragraph is awesome Lan!!

Wow, Harry was sure handling the news of Snape being his father rather well. I would have expected more yelling from him. Maybe his illness was effecting him.

Very interesting chapter; I really enjoyed Severus' interaction with Harry and I like how you contrasted the violent emotions with the mundane, day to day task of making food in the last paragraph.
