Reviews For Whispers in the Dark
I think that Snape is turning out to be very parental. Hee hee. Just don't tell him I said that. Great story. Really enjoying it.
This story has a shadow looming over it. It's quite haunting and just gives the reader a feeling of dread and a sense of impending doom and maybe a bit of hope at the same time, which is nothing short of wonderful. I love stories like that, stories that can you make you feel several different things simultaneously. Well done, Miss. Author's Response: Ha, Lore! Yeah. Right. If anyone gets blamed, it's going to be you. Especially with his latest story you've roped me into reading. ;-) I'm totally glad you said it gave you a feeling of dread and doom, because that's what I was hoping readers would get out of it. So thank you for that. -Vic P.S. Don't be in denial. It's not good for you. It's your fault. Accept it.
Author's Response: Thank you, RhiannanT! I'm very glad you like it so far. Your question and others I've received have brought to my attention some things I realize I may have done a poor job in explaining. But to answer your question, she does know. Just not that he delivered the prophecy. I apologize for the confusion. I hope you continue to enjoy the coming chapters. -VS
Author's Response: Aww, thanks so much, firefly. I'm glad you find the story somewhat unique and hope you enjoy the latest chapter. Thank you again for your feedback! -VS
Author's Response: Aww, thank YOU, Fmh! :D
A few things to think about. Your scene selection. For example, you made a big deal about the doctor's office exam, but when the exam came it took place off the page and there was quite a bit of talk about the library yet we don't see Harry and Severus in the library. I thought for sure that scene was going to play into how Harry mentioned earlier he wasn't very good at reading. As my professor says, "Make the scenes work harder." Interesting twist with Lily's magicless state. I wonder where that's headed and how it'll play into the story, and how Harry will react to that. I hope soon we'll get some kind of progress with the relationship between Harry and Severus, something small that'll hint they're headed in the right direction. Perhaps Harry needs help with his homework and asks Lily but Lily can't remember the theory behind some magic thing, so she asks Severus to help Harry while she's still sitting there so Severus has to behave. Oh, and is this the place I should state it's not totally my fault? ;) Author's Response: It is your fault, Ella. Deny it all you want. The fault is yours. ;-) Thank you so much for all your writing tips. I really do appreciate them. Hopefully my writing will improve and the story will too. Thanks again! -Vic P.S. It's still your fault.
