Hi there, I loved the bonding between Harry and Lily!! It was both sweet and well written!! The last scene between Harry and Snape was very IC and highened the excitement (and tension) even more but more importantly, it makes me wish for many more scenes between those two (and between Lily and Harry and/ or Snape, of course)!!
PLeeeeeeaaaasse, update as quickly as you can, I'm completely hyped by your story!!
    Your Melfis.

Very intriguing! I do hope that they will get to be a family eventually. The challenges you introduce are realistic and will make it so much more rewarding in the end after these three (hopefully!) make it through.

Hope they learn a bit more about each other soon! Wonder who's dead! And looking forward to Remus's appearance. Lily made a good poit-why wouldn't Remus-or anyone-have visited Harry? It's really interesting how she has a fresh perspective on things.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your lovely comments, anathi! I do believe you win the "make-me-grin-at-my-computer-like-an-idiot" Award for this week! ;-)

I hope you will continue to enjoy the coming chapters! Thanks for reading!

    Vic,
Great chapter! I loved the ending scene. Severus doesn't get Harry was trying to reach out to him, essentially looking for a father figure. Although I bet if Severus figured that out at this point, he'd be trying to commit himself to the psych ward at St. Mungo's.

It was great that Harry and Lily really connected in this chapter. One little writing tip, however. When you wrote that scene you did a lot of telling rather than showing. I know you wanted to summarize things, but next time a situation like this comes up think of a few choice things for the character to say in dialogue. Essentially, make the scene more active and engaging by showing rather than telling.

And of course I can't forget about Harry realizing he'll never have a relationship with his dad. That was very touching and a welcome revelation. Poor child. He's finally realizing what he's been missing all these years and only now is that impacting him emotionally.

I can't wait to see what happens next. I've noticed that Snape is still calling Harry, Potter, and I'm wondering when Lily will insist Severus calls Harry by his first name. She's obviously the mediator, and it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

    Author's Response:

    Ella,

I'm glad that Harry's actions are somewhat obvious to the reader. I was a bit concerned about that.

Yeah, the Harry and Lily scene really gave me trouble. I'm actually very relieved to have you point out what some of the trouble was, because it proved I wasn't being obsessively crazy. I couldn't get it right. So thanks for that feedback.

Also, I am becoming increasingly convinced you've stolen my notes. Or I am much too obvious. Lily will have a bone to pick with Severus soon. ;-)

    Thanks again!

Severus needs to learn more about the real Harry. Also - and he probably wouldn't have picked this up from his parents - but a quick way to alienate a parent is to be obvious about disliking their child.

I like this dynamic between the three. They all have a lot to learn about each other.

    Author's Response:

Thanks, Wynnleaf, for all your comments. Snape is running quite a risk with the way he treats Harry, isn't he?

I'm very happy you're enjoying this!

I wonder what Remus will think when he finds out Lily is alive. I can't wait to see more Harry and Severus scenes.

    Author's Response:

They're on their way, Kristi, I promise. Thank you for your patience and for your comments! I appreciate it!

Great chapter! I think Harry might be searching for someone to look up to ... and poor Severus in his inability to see that! Just so you know, I noticed a tiny error that you'd probably want to know about. During the part that talks about how the Ministry wouldn't notice any magical activity in Baske, you wrote "The Ministry of would never ...". You left out Magic. Anyways, lovely chapter and I look forward to more! :)

    Author's Response:

You hit the nail on the head, Whitetail. Snape is being quite clueless right now.

Also, thank you so much for pointing out the typo. I have fixed it and really do appreciate you letting me know.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments and your feedback!
