I like this story a lot and can't wait to read more, although I do find it hard to fathom that Harry would have been able to figure out that Toby was possibly Snape's son. I see people who resemble each other all the time but I hardly jump to the conclusion that they're related; I find that hard to believe. However, the rest of this story is quite interesting and I'm excited to read more.

    Author's Response:

Thanks, glad to hear it. I understand what you mean, Harry thought that with no idea if he was right or not but simply because that's who he was reminded of. Toby looks almost EXACTLY like Snape, except younger and nicer. He also acts a bit like him and it's just what Harry thought, and than it had him wondering if it's possible. However, if he were to truly consider and believe it than have it proven or something similar, he would probably - deep down - be just a shocked as everyone else. I know what you mean but there is just such a strong resemblence that it would seem impossible for theboy to look like Snape and not be his son, so naturally it was easier to think of him that way, i that makes any sense.

    Thanks for your review.

    Great idea!

You have me intrigued by the pensieve incident!

It will be interesting to see the conflict between Harry's new priorities and old interests.

I also like how Toby formed a different opinion about Snape despite what Harry said. He seems quite intuitive! It would be cool to have another encounter with Snape, before the discovery.

I'm looking forward to more letter exchanges, too! Maybe Harry will start seeking parenting advice from Snape...things could get interesting!

    Keep up the good work!

    Author's Response:

Thanks. Yeah, I'm taking my time with that incident since it's an important plot point. And true, as time goes along Harry will begin to experience that conflict. Because when he has to devote all his spare time to a child, the things he wants to do will take second priority. Yes, Toby is quite like his father in that way ;). There will be a few more Snape encounters before the discovery, in fact they will even have a face-to-face soon enough.

The letters start as mentioned, such as for the potions questions, but I created them for another reason, so yes, Harry will be writing about more off-topic things as well. As for parenting advice...hm, would one really dare to ask that of Severus Snape? And they will get interesting the more the correspondance goes along.

I will, and thank-you for your review! :)

    Wickedly interesting story idea!

I honestly thought Harry, would use James's invisibility cloak to hide Toby whilst in diagon alley & perhaps onto the hogwarts express? Also why hasn't Harry asked Toby what his surname is, I guess he'd have one?

Sure'll Severus, must have thought that the mysterious student who wrote to him, would have tried to hide either false/or misleading clues within his letter....to keep the truth of his true identity from Severus? Harry, really did show his "slytherin" traits within the letter to Severus, hehe! I guess Harry, must have thought that he couldn't honestly rely upon most of the adults that he knows (order & staff members, inc Remus & Hagrid). Yet, the one Professor whose always seemed to dislike him/yet continually protected him and has "never" lied to him?

    Author's Response:

Wow, thanks for your awesome review! Very motivating and it ma me immensely happy to read.

Harry hadn't thought of the cloak for Diagon Alley, also it would be far too crowded to navigate properly had he used it. He didn't see any reason to hide the boy then. He did use it on the train, though, as it was a necessity. As for the surname, I have deliberatly neglected mentioning it. Also Harry hasn't asked anything about it yet because he subconsciously doesn't want to admit that Toby may belong somewhere other than with him. Any ties to the boy's past may tie him to an uncertain furure, per se.

Yes, Severus is a very smart and skilled man. He is well aware of those things and I shall explain that further (such as why he neglects to use his own magic to disocover who is writing to him etc), in the upcoming chapters. Indeed, there is more Slytherin in Harry than the boy dares to admit. Harry is fearful of losing Toby at the moment and therefore was reluctant to even trust his best friends, who have proven to be very reliable in the past. So naturally, having never depended on an adult before (not really), than he would have no desire to risk them intrvening and taking Toby away. However you're correct, Harry is taking the risk with Snape because even if the teen may not realize it, he does have a strong sense of respect for the fact that Snape has proected him in the past and also...the man never lies.

Thanks again for your review!! I'll probably be updating the next chapter tomorrow or the day after. :)

    Wow, another update! I'm impressed.

It's too bad that Snape got him in the end like that, although for Snape to have done that, he must have been impressed with Harry to begin with.

I can't wait till he finds out about his "sons", especially the fact that Harry is one of them. I'm sure sparks will fly at "that" news!!

    Great chappie Crystal.

    Author's Response:

That's always good to hear, hehe. Yeah I'm working off the reviews, the more their are or the motre motivating they are than I update faster, etc. A peticulary system that will be more properly applied to my other fics once I can get acess to them again.

Indeed, sparks shall fly, although hopefully not from his wand :P. It will still be a while before he finds out, though.

Thanks for the review and I'm glad to hear it.

Good chapter loved the lesson lot of tension there. It would be nice to know more about Toby's history and what he knows about his past perhaps they can have time to talk together

Author's Response: Thanks, glad to hear it. And yes, I will be getting around to that soon enough. But ertain things are required to happen before Toby's past becomes more of a factor. And once mentioned, his past will become more explored and detailed. Thanks for the review.

Happy birthday sorry I'm late to review just got around to reading this chapter! Lot of lovely little tit bits to keep us going and interested here love Toby he's so sweet.

Author's Response: Thank-you! Its okay, I'm glad to receive it anyhow. Yeah, Toby is rather sweet, especially considering who his father is :). But than again, Severus himself is often misunderstood (not that he would likely admit it). Thanks.
