Reviews For My Secret Father
Never mind. I hope you do not take it as criticism. As you said, Snape took him earlier. I would do the same. I liked this story, so don't take this the wrong way, please. Here we have the system deadline August 31st, but you can get exception if "you are prepared to go to school" and you are born before the end of December. Author's Response: Ha ha I just don't think there is a place that says that in the books. You can get your letter if you 'will' be that age by a certain deadline.
Author's Response: Hogwarts is different than Muggle schools in any case... most muggle public schools (in real life) have Sept 1 as the deadline (at least in America), but at the age of 11 one or two months really doesn't make a difference like they say it does at earlier ages like 5 or 6, so I'm going to say that in my magic world, Hogwarts accepts anyone with a birthday by December. Anyway, does it actually say anywhere that Hermione just made the deadline, or only that her birthday is September 19?
Thanks for commenting!
Author's Response: Not necessarily. Who knows when the Hogwarts deadline is, and besides, Snape is his dad. He could have gotten him in there even if the deadline was a month or two a head of his birthday.
Author's Response: I mentioned in an authors note in a later chapter that I got the idea from One Tree Hill. I always liked the name Kenai - it came from a movie and means bear.
Thanks for the review!
And I hate the name "Kenai". It sounds anime. Author's Response: Snape's behavior is explained later, and if you were a teenager being treated like Harry has been, you might see the reasoning behind how he feels. Kenai is a word from Alaska, not any kind of Asian culture (that I know of). Seems like a pure flame review to me. Nothing remotely constructive about how to improve in anything you said. I don't mind if people don't like what I've written, so long as they actually have something constructive to say. If you feel like its a chore to read, simply move along to the next story, or maybe even a genre full of fluff or empty plot with flat characters. |
