Hmm, I can't think of any reason to justify Snape's actions. Maybe he keeps misinterpreting Harry's actions and thinks his life and thought's are different, and maybe he believes he might be protecting him in some way, but that doesn't excuse not sending an obviously hurt student to the hospital wing. He is a teacher, whether or not he's a father, and he does have some obligation to see to the health of his students, of which Harry is one. To not send a bleeding student like that to the hospital wing is inexcusable, regardless of his feelings or thoughts on the matter.
I realize Umbridge doesn't follow the above rules either, but she isn't someone anyone should emulate.

I like this story; it's touching and has just the right amount of angst to make you feel for Harry. I "ache" for Harry to have a family but I can't see that family ever including Snape. You have, unfortunately, made him into the perfect enemy. Not only does he hate his own son and constantly holds one up over the other, but he sent him into an abusive home and doesn't seem to care. I, like Harry, could have forgiven him if he didn't know. But he knows and just doesn't care. I want Harry to have a family but not at the price that I fear the Snapes will demand (and that Harry is willing to pay).

Whatever reasons Severus has for his behavior are crap. No one should behave in such way even if he want to protect him.

great story a real teary story for me ik hope to see more from this story
I am enjoying this and cannot wait to see what will happen next. I'm personally glad that there is some romance. I always liked Ginny and Harry and, let's face it, he deserves some happiness!
I'm dying to know why Snape hates Harry so much and why he lets his other son behave in such a way towards Harry. Will it all come out in time or will it be helped along by a certain potions prof finding the journal of a certain young boy?
