I want to slug Ron Weasley and Prof McGonnagle. Honestly! I begin to think that Ron has had his mind tampered with, and Minerva should darn well know better than to treat a student like she is treating Harry (and Teddy). And don't get me started about Dumbledore! When I read that the Headmaster KNEW about how the Dursley's were treating Harry and how they left him to die.... GRRRR! Let's just say that it's a good thing that Albus is a fictional character or I'd be in jail for murder right now.
I do like how you are developing the interaction between Harry and Hermione. It's quite different than in the books but it works very well.
Most of all, I like how you have written Severus. He is still very much a canon Snape, but you've expanded him beyond that, into a 3-dimensional character. I still don't think I'd like to have him teaching me in a class, but I certainly admire all the good traits that prejudiced people in other Houses never see.
