I love the concept of elemental magic and Snape gaining knowledge long forgotten. I wish he hadn’t used the word “babbling” though in reference to a formidable figure whose help he needs. But I suppose he was distraught...

Many thanks for your response on Chap 12-- that was not a typo in my comment; I honestly thought you'd written about "key" lines, and after reading your response, I came back to take another look at this chapter, and it DID say "ley lines" instead. I feel like an idiot for misreading! (And I had actually googled "key lines" to see if they were real-- but the results were not enlightening! Now I'll have something new to google!) :-P ;-D
