Great chapter, can't wait for more. How old is Snape? Will Albus Severus still be named after sweet Snape.
Author's Response: Snape is 39, unless my math is off - he was born in 1960, the story takes place in 1999 (and onwards in future chapters; I plan for it to reach Lily Luna's birth at least).
Albus Severus will be named after Snape - there's a surprise planned regarding his birth and why he is named so (and no, I mean no infidelity here - it's not my cup of tea).

this seems to plagarize two stories. never heard of penal servitude but you are defiantly stealing ideas from unwell. inspiration? its called stealing.
Author's Response: The differences:
In general - Unwell has no Ginny, Harry taking care of Teddy and not allowing Severus too close to the kid, and slash.
More precisely - Unwell is about Severus battling his personal demons left by his previous owners;
while Servitude is about Harry/Ginny married life and about Severus taking care of the children. Right now it's only Teddy, but in a few years James Sirius, Albus Severus and Lily Luna will arrive.
Severus will lose his attitude of a slave in roughly a year.
I plan on some delightful interactions when Severus first sees each of the Potter children and learns their names; and there's a surprise regarding A.S.P.'s birth and why he is so named.

Poor Severus! I hope that he will be okay.
This is an interesting story. I've never read this genre before. So far, I think you're doing a good job, please update soon.

Oh, how sad... But if it helps Severus regain a sense of self... along with his earlier memories... I'm also wondering about his efficiency in caring for Teddy-- does the brainwashing also include training for a slave's potential duties, like cooking, cleaning, childcare? And how frustrating it will be for Snape when he has fully recovered his memories, only to be doomed to slavery in spite of Harry's generosity. *sighs*
Author's Response: Good question. Probably yes - I'll try to touch upon this in the future chapters.
As for Snape being frustrated - I'd bet! Harry should watch out for his snarky attitude and acidic tongue!

oooh! A flashback! In the middle of the wedding-- bet that won't go over well with Ron! And what role will McGonagall play in Snape's new circumstances? Always a mystery from chapter to chapter! Love it! :-)

I love the way you reveal little hints of information, like what has become of the Malfoy family members. Severus learns bit by bit, just like your readers. And now... Potions! Gotta see how this plays out!
