Oh, I'm really enjoying this! It's an intriguing twist with the whole class and Severus locked up by the castle itself. I like how you've thought through the details, how Dumbledore's spell confused the castle and it shut itself down, and the effect of the exploding potion sealing off the dungeons. It's very curious how their magic has stopped working too.
It's a very realistic portrayal, how everyone is tense and worrried, but thankfully they're keeping it under control so far. I can understand Severus' dread that he might have to comfort panic-stricken students, especially Gryffindors! In spite of the tense atmosphere, that thought made me smile. I feel sorry for Theodore and of course for Harry, both so worried about their classmates discovering their nightmares.
Hopefully this will lead to new understandings between the Slytherins and the Gryffindors, as well as with Harry and Severus. I can only imagine everyone's shock when the kids all emerge as best friends now, lol.
I hope they can find some food soon, though! Great chapter again and I'm looking forward to more.
